The Admission Timeline

If at any time you have a questions regarding college/scholarship information please make an appointment with your school counselor.

Junior Year:

1. Develop a list of 5-7 schools you will research

2. Research admission requirements and scholarship programs for each of these schools

   1. Internet

   2. Make an appointment to see your senior counselor second semester

3. Make sure you will meet core requirements for the college you want to attend

4. Visit our school website for junior newsletter published Fall, Winter, & Spring

5. Take the ACT in spring – (www.act.org)

   1. Once at West High during school day

   2. One other time

6. Sign up for the college representatives who visit West High (sign up sheet in Counseling Office)

7. Attend local college fairs

8. Visit websites for scholarships that you could apply for as a junior (fastweb.com)

9. Begin visiting college campuses (Spring of junior year and summer after junior year)​
